First Vice President Bill McMahon put together a great program featuring information on ABC changes plus real-world examples of how paywalls are working for one newspaper group.

A survey is in the works to learn more about what you value about the organization, as well as how it might grow in order to continue meeting the needs of today's circulation and audience professionals.

Good afternoon,

We're having a great day at our annual conference in State College today. If you're not with us, please watch our website - www.iscma.org - for the presentations to be posted by the end of next week.

We have a change of venue for our evening cocktail reception sponsored by The Zinser Law Firm. The reception will be held at 6 p.m. in the Alumni Lounge, and not the Faculty Staff Club as scheduled. Dinner will follow at 7 p.m. in Boardroom 1-2.

Many circulation professionals have found innovative ways to grow circulation, recognize carriers, and promote their newspaper's products by browsing our annual promotion display competition. But as valuable as the boards are, they are a static way to present the information.

So, with your help, we're going to energize the promotion displays by giving you and your team a chance to showcase your best promotion display entry live at the conference.

On the afternoon of the first day of the conference, we'll extend our usual dessert with the advertisers for these brief presentations in the promotion display room. Select your best entry, prepare some brief comments to highlight it's best features, and we'll put you in the spotlight.

Each newspaper which participates will receive two additional entries in our $250 prize drawing. Participation will not be factored into determining category prize winners or the recipient of the L. Scott Olsen award.
